Time for another IMM. (Hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren) I got a lot of books this week! All of which weren't in my mailbox, but I'll take books anyway I can get them. :)
I got 4 books for review this week:
1. The Rising Moon by Nilsa Rodriguez. Release Date: September 12th
"All Chelsea wants to
do this summer is hang out with her best friend, hone her talents as an
ice cream connoisseur, and finally get over Ezra, the boy who broke her
heart. But when Chelsea shows up for her summer job at Essex Historical
Colonial Village (yes, really), it turns out Ezra’s working there too.
Which makes moving on and forgetting Ezra a lot more complicated…even
when Chelsea starts falling for someone new.
Maybe Chelsea should have known better than to think that a historical reenactment village could help her escape her past. But with Ezra all too present, and her new crush seeming all too off limits, all Chelsea knows is that she’s got a lot to figure out about love. Because those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it…."
This one seems really cute. I got it as an Ebook from Simon and Schuster, and was really happy that I get a chance to read it. I love a good contemp. romance every once and awhile to break up the paranormal and this seems like the perfect way to do that. :)
3. Swear by Nina Malkin. Expected Release Date: October 18th
I got this one from Simon and Schuster too! I don't want to tell much about the summary with this one because it's the second in a series. (The first being Swoon.) I haven't read Swoon but I may have started reading this one...It just looked so good. If you don't mind being spoiled or have read Swoon, you can check out the Goodreads page for Swear HERE.
4. Virtuosity by Jessica Martinez. Release Date: October 18th
Summary:
"Now is not the time for Carmen to fall in love. And Jeremy is hands-down the wrong guy for her to fall for. He is infuriating, arrogant, and the only person who can stand in the way of Carmen getting the one thing she wants most: to win the prestigious Guarneri competition. Carmen's whole life is violin, and until she met Jeremy, her whole focus was winning. But what if Jeremy isn't just hot...what if Jeremy is better?
Carmen knows that kissing Jeremy can't end well, but she just can't stay away. Nobody else understands her--and riles her up--like he does. Still, she can't trust him with her biggest secret: She is so desperate to win she takes anti-anxiety drugs to perform, and what started as an easy fix has become a hungry addiction. Carmen is sick of not feeling anything on stage and even more sick of always doing what she’s told, doing what's expected.
Sometimes, being on top just means you have a long way to fall...."
This is the final title I got as an Ebook from Simon and Schuster, and it's the one that I'm most excited for. I've been hearing the buzz surrounding this one for months now and it's been on my wishlist on Borders *sob* for a long time. It sounds amazing and I CANT WAIT to dig in. And can you believe how amazing this cover art is? If I like the book as much as I love the cover, I'm going to be raving about this book for a while.
That's all for me! What did you get in your mailbox? Please leave a comment telling me what you got or a link to your IMM and I'll be sure to check it out.

I got 4 books for review this week:
1. The Rising Moon by Nilsa Rodriguez. Release Date: September 12th
Summary:
"Orphaned
at the age of five, Angelia (Lia) Lafosse was left with questions about
whom and what she truly was. One thing was clear. Lia was different.
Some might even say cursed.
With
the help of her best friend, Ryan Woodruff, she begins to unlock the
secrets of her families past and discover answers that prove more
startling than she ever imagined. Not only was she a werewolf, but a reincarnation of the immortal werewolf,
a werewolf with immense powers beyond any of her kind. A werewolf that
if discovered by the Lobison’s to have returned, can jeopardize both Lia
and those she love.
As
destiny finds her love does too…and they couldn’t be more different.
Torn between Lyle Ulric, the charming werewolf whose bloodline is as
ancient and powerful as her own. And Adam Ambrose, the mysterious and
alluring vampire who’s determined not to allow fate or anyone tear their
love apart again.
Lia has to make a choice… Destiny or Love…Run or Fight…Live or Die"
This one sounds amazing! (And I LOVE the cover.) I'm actually participating in a Blog tour in September for this one, so be sure to check back for more updates about that. I'll be posting an author interview and a review.
2. Past Perfect by Leila Sales. Expected Release Date: October 4th
Summary:
Maybe Chelsea should have known better than to think that a historical reenactment village could help her escape her past. But with Ezra all too present, and her new crush seeming all too off limits, all Chelsea knows is that she’s got a lot to figure out about love. I love the cover of Swear, but I never read Swoon so I'm not sure what it's all about.
Happy Reading,
Megan @ Read It, See It
Yeah I haven't read Swoon yet either, but I started Swear, because it looks so good. And it IS good. I'm like 80 pages in and I'm totally hooked.
