It's time for an IMM! My first one of this month actually. (I've been slacking on blog stuff too much!) I think I'm just going to feature books I've gotten very recently though. It would be too many otherwise.

So here we go:

1. Caged Moon by Rachel Deagan: I've already read this and loved it. My review will be up on Wednesday. Also, maybe a giveaway... :D

2. American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang: I've already read this one too. Review up next week probably.

3. The Eternal Smile by Gene Luen Yang and Derek Kirk Kim: Again, I finished this one yesterday. Weirdest graphic novel EVER.

4. The Humming Room by Ellen Potter (ARC): Haven't started it yet. I will try to read it this month though so I can have a review up on the release date!

5. The Night She Disappeared by April Henry (ARC): I read this in one day. It doesn't come out till April though, so no review for awhile. (IT WAS AMAZING.)

6/7. Fruits Basket V.1&2 by Natsuki Takaya

That's it for me this week! What did you get in your mailbox? Let me know in the comments or leave a link to your IMM and I'll be sure to check it out. :)

IMM time! And this IMM is extra special because  it's the day after Christmas. No matter what holiday you celebrate, I hope you had/are having a great one. :)
Of course In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren. This week I got a package full of amazingness, and a Sailor Moon manga that I have already finished. In like an hour. (I'm kind of a Sailor Moon fan-girl.)

I cannot even begin to talk about what's in the package of amazingness; from signed bookmarks to pins and pens and of course the Pledge poster (signed!). It's great. I want to do a little shout out to Ashley @ What's Your Story for hosting the giveaway where I won this from. :) (Please click the link and check her out!)

That's all for me this week. What did you get in your mailbox? Please let me know in the comments or leave a link to your IMM and I'll be sure to check it out.

It's In My Mailbox time! As always In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren. I haven't posted an IMM for two weeks because I haven't had anything IMM.
It was going to be that same way again this week, but to my surprise I did have something in my mailbox! It came about 30 minutes ago, and I was so excited that I had to jump on here and write an IMM!

(Insert drum-roll here.....)

It's Cinder by Marissa Meyer! I was really excited when I found out I got an ARC because I had no clue that they were sending me one. I think those are my favorite books, just because of the sheer excitement I get from ripping open a surprise package and diving right in.

What did you get in your mailbox? Just leave a comment letting me know or a link to your IMM and I'll be sure to check it out. :)

This week for me was full of library stuff! (I <3 the library. Sometimes I wonder what I would even do without it.)

Here's what I got:

AudioBooks:

And that's all for me this week! What did you get in your mailbox? Just tell me in the comments or leave a link to your IMM and I'll be sure to check it out. Also, do you like audiobooks? I happen to be a fan, but I know some people don't care for them. I'm just curious. :)

I got three books this week, and all of them came from my local library. I think Choker is the one I'm most excited for, just because of all the amazing reviews I've seen describing it as one of the most creepy books they have ever read. Sounds like it's right down my alley. I also got Demon Trapper's Daughter, which I've had on hold for almost a month. Finally, The Iron Witch, whose cover alone had me adding it to my stack. :)

If you want to know more about any of the above books, just click their cover; they are links to their Goodreads pages.

It's time for this week's In My Mailbox, an amazing meme hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren where bloggers tell about the books they've borrowed, bought, or received for review.

No books for me this week, but two exciting things happened.

Exciting thing #1: I was awarded the Liebester Blog award from Escaping With Fiction! I had already received the award, but her blog is awesome and she deserves more followers than she actually has, so I thought I would give her a shout out as a thank you for the award. :)

Exciting thing # 2: I did receive something book related In My Mailbox: A SIGNED postcard for the upcoming YA paranormal short story collection Enthralled! It's signed by Jackson Pearce, author of As You wish, Sisters Red, and Sweetly. There are also 15 other authors including Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, Rachel Vincent, and Kimberly Derting that have stories in there though, so I'm really excited. It comes out on the 20th of this month, and I'm definitely
adding it to my TBR list. Plus the cover is just beautiful!

(Click the cover to be taken to Enthralled's Goodreads page.)

It's time for another In My Mailbox! As always, In My Mailbox is hosted by the awesome Kristi @ The Story Siren.  The purpose of In My Mailbox is to tell about the books that we've bought, borrowed, or received for review.

This week I got a total of three books: My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers #1), My Soul to Save (Soul Screamers #2), and The Rising Moon. Both books in the Soul Screamers Series I got from the library, and The Rising Moon I got for review in my mailbox. Black Dove Publishing was also nice enough to include two bookmarks, two stickers, two buttons, and a postcard with my copy of The Rising Moon. :)

I'm participating in a blog tour for The Rising Moon, so make sure to stop by on the 14th and 20th for that. I'll be hosting an author interview and a review. Also, if you comment on any of the posts in the blog tour you will be entered to win the grand prize! Stay tuned for more details on that...

If you want to know more about any of the books pictured above, just click on them and they will direct you to their Goodreads pages.

That's it for me this week. What did you get in your mailbox? Leave and comment and let me know or a link to your IMM and I'll be sure to check it out. :)

Summary from Goodreads:

"August 31, 5:15 PM, French Hill, Nova Scotia: A girl named Tara is running. She runs through her nice neighborhood and up a road to the burned ruins of what was once a beautiful house—her family's house.

August 31, 1859, French Hill, Nova Scotia: A girl named Josey is picking blackberries with her friend Connie. As the girls gossip, a handsome stranger knocks on the door of Josey's house. His name is Asa, and with his coming, Josey's life—and later in time, Tara's as well—is about to change forever.

Eisner award winner Hope Larson weaves together history, romance, and a touch of her trademark magical realism in this remarkable graphic novel of how the past haunts a teenage girl's present."
I finished this one earlier this week. Review to come!

Swoon by Nina Malkin
Release Date: May 19th, 2009
Source: Barnes and Noble
Summary from Goodreads:

"Torn from her native New York City and dumped in the land of cookie-cutter preps, Candice is resigned to accept her posh, dull fate. Nothing ever happens in Swoon, Connecticut...until Dice's perfect, privileged cousin Penelope nearly dies in a fall from an old tree, and her spirit intertwines with that of a ghost. His name? Sinclair Youngblood Powers. His mission? Revenge. And while Pen is oblivious to the possession, Dice is all too aware of Sin. She's intensely drawn to him -- but not at all crazy about the havoc he's wreaking. Determined to exorcise the demon, Dice accidentally sets Sin loose, gives him flesh, makes him formidable. Now she must destroy an even more potent -- and irresistible -- adversary, before the whole town succumbs to Sin's will. Only trouble is, she's in love with him.

What do you do when the boy of your dreams is too bad to be true?"

This book was so good! A little provocative though. My review can be found HERE.

Americus by MK Reed and Jonathan King
Release Date: August 30th
Source: Publisher
Summary from Goodreads:

"Neal Barton just wants to read in peace. Unluckily for him, some local Christian activitsts are trying to get his favorite fantasy series banned from the Americus public library on grounds of immoral content and heresy. Something has to be done, and it looks like quiet, shy Neal is going to have to do it. With youth services librarian Charlotte Murphy at his back, Neal finds himself leading the charge to defend the mega-bestselling fantasy series that makes his life worth living."

I read this book today, all in one sitting. It's an amazing Middle Grade/Young Adult graphic novel dealing with some important thought provoking topics. Full review to come.

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
Release Date: September 8th, 2009
Source: Borrowed from friend

Summary from Goodreads:

"Seventeen year-old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father… until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms – first love, the love between parents and children – that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts… and heal them."

Not sure when I'll get to this one, but I loved the movie and thought it would be a good read.
